I am currently reading 'Good Omens', which is an apocalyptic story, jointly written by Sir Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman (Of 'Instructions' fame).
As a big fan of Sir Terry I found this book unusually difficult to get into. It is so different to his normal style and, although I could still feel him in the words, it just wasn't what I was expecting.
However, I followed my own rule of giving every book 50 pages and eventually it started to pick up for me.
The footnotes are particularly funny (as is always the case with Sir Terry) but I began, also, to enjoy the touches which clearly came form Gaiman.
All in all I'm looking forward to my bedtime book each night and I would recommend it to very able, mature readers with an understanding of Christian doctrine and a large sense of humour.
