Grammar Poetry




This week you are to write a grammar inspired haiku.

  1. A Haiku is a Japanese poem which can also be known as a Hokku. A Haiku poem is similar to a Tanka but has fewer lines. A Haiku is a type of poetry that can be written on many themes, including nature.

    Spring is really here.
    Flowers are starting to bloom.
    Sunshine fills the air.

  2. A afternoon breeze expels cold air,
    along with blossoms which gently fall towards north and south.Ellipsis point between winter and summer.

    Dreamy ellipsis,
    three little dots unfettered and floating away
    west and east.

  8. Haiku

    A haiku poem is a traditional type of Japanese poetry. Haiku's consists of three lines which each rarely rhyme with each other. The first and last line of the haiku contain five syllables, while the second line has seven syllables.

    My haiku

    Grammar is the worst,
    It can be a pest at times,
    Grammar is a pest.

    Full stop and full stops,
    Put your sentence to a halt.
    Full stops everywhere

  22. A haiku is a poem with 17 syllables. 1st line= 5 syllables.
    2nd line= 7 syllables.
    3rd line= 5 syllables. (Most of the time).

    Sand scatters the beach
    Waves crash on the sandy shore
    Blue water shimmers.
